

Sonnet 21To know the sting of Hate, that rusted point, Ere' suffering the bolt of Eros' steel, Makes one believe, ti's rust that locks a joint, When truth: ti's Eros pierce that locks and seals. The flecks of oxidation left behind Injected in the heart, the mind, the soul, Cause not the malady the fairer kind Leaves ten-fold from it's clean and bleeding hole. Though terminal, the wounded one yet moves, For Love the corp'ral frame does not effect, Yet rigor claims the Heart and thusly proves, The strength of Love's beguiling shot abject. How sweet the life of Love when requited; &nSonnet 21


Sonnet 20I wake each day to find that I have died While dreaming of the Love I hoped we'd share, Yet come each dawn I find my Heart has lied, And led my Mind to thoughts I should not dare Allow encroach and fill with Hope anew That Heart will alter Mind, and then embrace, The Love you saw in me, and I in you, So I can cease this tortured dreaming chase. As such each day I pray for this to come So I regain my Life in Life, not Death. Alas! Each newborn morn undead succumb, For I will never feel your living breath. Ere' sleep was once that mini-death; instead, The roles have cSonnet 20


Sonnet 19Were you to numerate how great my cost Entreating you with bold affinity; Were you to tally all that I have lost Pursuing you, 'till dead lies dignity; Were you to read the verse that I have carved In fits of mad and frightful ecstasy; Were you to know the depth my Soul feels starved From wanting you unto insanity; Were you to glimpse the shaking of my head While begging you to leave my Heart to groan; Were you to count the tears that I have shed While pleading you to leave my Mind alone; You'd sure regard me as a man unhinged; But such is Love, which leaves the psySonnet 19


Sonnet 18When whirling ferments in my heart infuse My stoic mind with doubt, which conjures fear, I slow my breath and think upon my muse, And surely, faintly, her fair voice I hear! She says to me, "Be calm my Love, my Knight, And turn thine fearful heart upon my source, For soon relinquished grasp of that force fright Will quake, as courage though your veins shall course!" And once these words are spoken to me thus, I feel her strength, her Love, within me prove, That no fiends stand against her, me and us, As forth into God's enemies I move. I surely would be lost amidst life'sSonnet 18
